In Sheryl’s role, she leads the Advertising, Creative Services, Digital Marketing and Analytics teams, and works closely with the company’s Asset Servicing, Asset Management and Wealth Management business units to create and execute strategic marketing programs, globally.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Sheryl worked in various communications and marketing roles for eight years at Cox Target Media in Largo, Florida.
Sheryl received both B.A. and M.A. degrees in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida.
Under Sheryl’s leadership, Northern Trust has developed engaging, paid promotion campaigns through a qualified lead generation approach across multiple touchpoints with prospective clients. She also oversees the development of the company’s creative assets, including its public websites, annual report and marketing collateral. Sheryl was responsible for building Northern Trust’s social media program in 2009, which has increased client engagement and brand awareness. She has also been instrumental in supporting the company’s digital transformation—using artificial intelligence to scale and optimize marketing operations and building out data capabilities across the company and third-party media agencies to advance performance marketing, achieve a greater return on investments and support strategic business growth.
Sheryl began her career with Northern Trust in 2004 as a Senior Content Manager on the Corporate Online Marketing team, becoming a manager in 2005. She was named Head of Digital Marketing in 2010 and in 2020, her role was expanded to include leading Creative Services and corporate Advertising.
